You won’t believe how great our first day of our classroom was! We walked an incredible 18 kilometers — first along the seafront, than through Hastings, where we explored the old town during a guided city tour. We learned many fascinating facts about the city’s history, pirates, and the famous Battle of Hastings. The narrow streets were beautiful, full of little shops and cafés, and many of us bought small gifts for our parents to take home.
After lunch, we continued our journey and went hiking in bright sunshine along the Seven Sisters cliffs. The view over the sea was absolutely breathtaking, and even though our legs were tired by the end, everyone agreed it was totally worth it.
